Trusts
Overseas trusts are structures where a Trustee holds assets on behalf of the client with the role of administering the trust in the best interests of the client and beneficiaries.
For someone permanently living overseas with no UK beneficiaries, in some circumstances a trust can be a useful way of wrapping assets away from UK taxation.
UK laws on domicile and residency are complex and so we would always recommend you seek expert tax advice. This is not our area of specialism and so we cannot provide advice in this area.
